Isabella (Robertson) Taylor's 90th birthday  (1911)

"Miss Isabella Robertson was born in Orkney, Scotland, August 18, 1821; and she came to America in 1846, and located at Wilkesbarre, Pa., where she was united in marriage to Robert Taylor in 1848; in 1857, they came to Nebraska and located in Pawnee county, taking land under the pre-emption laws, upon which they lived for a number of years; later this land was given to their daughter Jennie I. Miller, this being the only transfer of this land ever made since it passed from the government, as Mrs. Miller still owns it.

"From the farm they moved to Pawnee City, where Mr. Taylor died in July 1900; Mrs. Taylor maintained her home in that city until last fall, when she came to Table Rock and made her home with Mrs. Miller.

"On Friday she celebrated her 90th birthday and the event was observed by a reception to her, which was attended by a large number of friends; ice cream, cake and punch was served to the guests, and all who called will remember the occasion with pleasure, but none more so than Grandma herself, who greeted each guest with a smile and a hearty welcome, and was so sunshiny it seemed hard to realize she was 90 years of age.  The friends wish for her many happy returns of the day of her birth."
