Death of William Lindsay Wishart (1880)

In Scotland on Sunday, June 6, 1880, WILLIAM LINDSAY WISHART, father of David Wishart and Margaret (Wishart) Miller, passed away at Hymen Street, Letham, just a few miles from the village of Dunnichen, where he had been born over 78 years earlier. WILLIAM had been a widower through the eight years following the death of his wife, ELIZABETH. Four of his children had emigrated to America with perhaps only two of them, David and Margaret, surviving at this time; the remaining six were still living in the British Isles.
