Submitted by: Curt Jensen An event happened on May 7, 1954 in which Nebraska was to take a "licking", it would be witnessed by all the states in the union. Soon all the United> States would participate in this "licking". What was this event? Point here for Leah Savage's answer ---> The issuing of the 3 cent Nebraska Territory Stamp. "The first licking of this stamp took place in Nebraska City on May 7, 1954. It features the sower, Mitchell Pass and Scotts Bluff.
