My mother was a long time resident of Pawnee City, NE. Her name is Mildred Marie Shuck Lansberry. and she was born in Pawnee County on Feb. 2, 1911 to Elza B. and Nellie Lavenia Byers Shuck. My grandparents ran the Hillcrest Dairy (Mom thinks that what they called it) and my grandfather was Fire Chief for many years. My mother worked for the County Treasurer for many years until she was elected as County Treasurer. She was elected to 3 four year terms but she can't remember when she was first elected or what year she was into her 3rd term. She left her term in 1948 upon her marriage to my father and moved to Cheyenne, WY where she still resides. I have truly enjoyed reading and seeing all the old pictures of Pawnee City. I have not been there since I was a little girl. Other names I would like some history on if you have any is Clara Byers Dauthet, Hiram Byers. My cousin was postmaster in the 60's maybe the early 70 and his name was Howard Byers. If you have or can find any history about my relatives I would be most grateful. Thank-you.
