hello ! my great, great grandfather, soloman s. smeltzer moved from troy, ks. to steinauer, ne. in or around the late 1880's. he worked for the rock island r.r. and he and his wife, henrietta ran a boardinghouse. from what our family info says, they even hosted william jennings bryan at one time. my grandmother (now 90 yrs. old) tells stories of the wonderful times her mother had growing up in steinauer. any info on soloman and henrietta smeltzer or descendants would be greatly appreciated. thanks Reply to erik knudson eknu739301@aol.com |
